Most of the Olympic arenas can be used for exciting incentive activities, just to mention a few: Bob sledging, luges, skiing in the Olympic slopes, biathlon, curling and all is located within easy access of hotels and city centre, saving precious time. Lillehammer is proud to present its Olympic venues!
Located on the northern tip of Lake Mjøsa, it can easily be reached by train or a 3-hour coach tour from Oslo and 2-hour coach tour from Oslo international airport.
The municipality is very concerned about preserving the identity and small town character and for generations the low wooden houses have been a special characteristic of the town. Storgata, the main street is Norway’s longest small town street! The Olympic Games provided the town with excellent facilities for both sport and culture and a very good infrastructure.
Maihaugen, the extensive open-air museum which was opened in 1904 with 10 buildings and 5000 objects now covers acres and has 150 buildings and 50.000 objects.
Telemarkstunet is situated just above the ski jump and overlooking the valley and is a collection of buildings from the Telemark region that where set up in Lillehammer for the Olympics. An excellent venue for a private dinner where several nice themes for entertainment can be set up around an evening event.
