It’s summer in Scandinavia…
… and that means time for festivals! Every year, a large variety of festivals are held all over Scandinavia.
If you like music, why not relax at the Øyafestival in Oslo this August and listen to Bon Iver or Florence + the Machine?
Rather listen to rock? In the first week of July the biggest Scandinavian rock concert can be found in Copenhagen, including performances by Bruce Springsteen and The Cure.
The Gothenburg Jazz festival takes place 24th-26th August and Stockholm hosts the Stockholm Cultural festival mid-August.
If you have any culinary interests, the Stavanger food festival “Glad Mat” might be something for you. Food courses, expositions and exclusive tastes are being held all over town.
If you are more interested in fashion, visit the Copenhagen Fashion week in the first week of August or the Stockholm Fashion Week the following week. All the top designers will be there to show the Scandinavian world their new designs.
This is just a taste of what Scandinavia has to offer this summer. Jazz, folk, film, boats… You name it, Scandinavia has it!
