Lusekofta and Lovikavantar – Get to know Scandinavian design!
Norway and Sweden are major design countries with brands that you have heard of – or perhaps not?
Norway might be more known for the traditional “lusekofta” (sweater dating from the 19th century) than modern design but this will change once you discover brands like Anti Sweden, Maggie Wonka (the latter won the most exciting newcomer in Norwegian fashion industry in 2005) and Moods of Norway. Sweden has many internationally known brands, e.g. Acne, Cheap Monday and Odd Molly but why not get to know designers on the rise at Stockholm Fashion Week (August 16-22, 2010)!
